Rekha Gupta Attends Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Convocation, Praises Youth Power

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta attended the 18th convocation ceremony of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in New Delhi on Thursday, where she congratulated graduating students and highlighted the role of youth in shaping the country's future. The event was also attended by Delhi Lieutenant Governor Tarunjeet Singh Sandhu along with senior university officials and dignitaries.

Addressing the gathering, Rekha Gupta congratulated students who received degrees and medals, calling their achievements an important milestone in their academic and professional journeys. She said that the energy, innovation and dedication of young people will play a crucial role in realizing the vision of a "Viksit Bharat." According to the Chief Minister, India's progress depends heavily on the ambitions and capabilities of its youth, who will lead the nation toward greater growth and global recognition.

Rekha Gupta also spoke about the transformation taking place in the education sector in Delhi under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She said that the government has significantly increased its focus on education in order to equip students with modern skills and opportunities.

Highlighting the government's investment in education, the Chief Minister noted that Delhi's education budget has been raised to ₹19,326 crore. She explained that the increased allocation has helped improve school infrastructure, create modern classrooms and expand access to technology and digital learning resources for students across the city.

According to Rekha Gupta, the government's goal is not only to expand educational opportunities but also to ensure that learning remains relevant to the needs and aspirations of today's youth. She emphasized that better facilities, innovation-driven learning and stronger academic support systems are essential to prepare students for future challenges.
