Rahul Gandhi's outburst at Cong function; says 'angry people are running the country'
New Delhi, Nov 13: Heavily criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his ‘Swacch Bharat' abhiyan, Congress vice President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday said that ‘angry people were running the country.'
Speaking at a Congress Conclave in Delhi to mark the 125th birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru, Rahul said : "Today, the love on the basis of which this country is run is being destroyed. On one hand they clean roads in photo ops and on the other hand they are spreading poison."
'Look at all their tall promises. Nothing has happened. Of course it is a photo op. They are sweeping the streets," said Rahul
"It's not like Congress has not committed any mistakes, we made mistakes, but we are not short of ideologies. Congress is a party of love and brotherhood," Rahul said.
Congress President Sonia Gandhi also said that 'the Nehru legacy belonged to the entire country.'
Meanwhile the BJP has reacted and said that Rahul and Sonia Gandhi were grabbing the opportunity to Nehru's birthday. "They are into party politics," he said.
