Rahul Gandhi: Corruption biggest issue, it is 'bleeding people'
Speaking to the people here he said that corruption was the biggest issue that was ‘bleeding people' and said that it was the UPA government that pushed for the Lokpal Bill.
"The biggest issue is corruption. It is bleeding people and is unacceptable," he said.
Speaking about the achievements about the UPA government he said: "The political stability provided by our government has contributed to growth."
Claiming credit for the RTI Act, he said that RTI had showed many concerned the writing on the wall. "Our education doesn't do our youngsters justice. We need to invest more in education," he said.
He also said that poverty cannot be fought without growth. "There is no confusion in my mind," he said. India has to become the global leader in manufacture, that should be our mission he added.
Gandhi spoke about inflation and said: "Beating inflation must be our top priority."
