After Beijing, President Obama spotted chewing gum at R-Day celebration too
New Delhi, Jan 26: US President Barack Obama, who has arrived in India to be the chief guest in this year's Republic Day ceremony here, was found chewing gum. He removed it and put it back into his mouth.
The president, who was enjoying the colourful parade on an otherwise gloomy day, was perhaps chewing Nicorette, a nicotine gum. He was seated next to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Obama is known for his strong smoking habits and he was having Nicorette most probably to overcome the habit.

The American media had reported in the past that the president uses gum to fight his addiction. Obama's aides said he is struggling to quit smoking.
This is not the first time that the American president was spotted chewing gum at an important function. Internet users in China slammed Obama last November when he was spotted xhewing gum at the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation held in Beijing.
