Now, Prashant Bhushan wants Maoists to join AAP: Report
Bhushan sought referendum on deployment of armed forces in Maoist-hit areas
Bhushan, who recently created a controversy by seeking a referendum on the deployment of armed forces in Kashmir, said there could only be three conditions under which a security measure could be taken by either the central or state governments, the report said.
The three conditions are: infiltration through the borders, communal riots and normal civil security where the consent of the local people should be taken before deploying the military forces.
Bhushan said he is in favour of a referendum on the deployment of the paramilitary forces in the Naxal-hit areas and this falls under the third category. He said the special armed forces serve the interests of big corporates than the helpless tribals.
