New Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal meets Jung, urges for fresh elections

Kejriwal after a meeting with Jung said: "I have met the Lt Governor and requested him to consider conducting elections in Delhi immediately, to which he said that he would consider."
Earlier the Supreme Court had said given two weeks to both the BJP and the Congress to form the government in the capital, following which the BJP even hinted that it may form the government in the capital after the Lok Sabha elections.
Kejriwal on the other hand said that both the BJP and the Congress had not shown any interest in having fresh elections which raised doubts on their intentions.
Kejriwal: Lt Guv said he would consider on holding fresh elections
"But during the overall observation, the court said that if Lt Governor wants he can consider ordering fresh elections," Kejriwal said.
In February, the Delhi Assembly was kept under suspended animation after Arvind Kejriwal resigned as the chief minister and President's rule was imposed in the state.
