Khan told in a interview to a news channel that the BJP leader should not apologise for the communal violence since the judiciary has already exonerated him. The actor, who played it safe in Ahmedabad when asked about his preference as the future prime minister of India, stuck to his position during the interview. When asked about endorsing Modi, Khan said he is not in favour of letting his view influence his fans' judgment.
Khan said his recent experience of flying kites with the Gujarat chief minister was a fun-filled one.
When asked about participating the Saifai Mahotsav in Uttar Pradesh which led to a massive controversy in the media, Khan said he should not be taught his moral responsibility.
The actor had earlier lashed out at the media for criticising the celebrities who attended that event at a time when victims of Muzaffarnagar riots in UP were suffering in relief camps. He said it was not right to project their pictures along with the riot victims and that they had performed as professionals.
