Narendra Modi likely to meet Spellbee winners during his US visit

New Delhi, May 13: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to US next month for a bilateral summit with President Barack Obama and is likely to meet the winners of the Scripps National Spelling Bee contest.

Though there is no official confirmation on the same, reports suggest that the meeting with spellbee winners may make it to Narendra Modi's itinerary this time.

Modi likely to meet Spellbee winners

Modi is expected to visit US from June 6-8 though the White House is yet to make an official announcement on the PM's trip. While no official confirmation of his itinerary is out yet, Modi is likely to visit National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

Indian-American participants have proved their mettle in the spellbee competition for a very long time and meeting them would be another gesture of Modi interacting with the diaspora during his visit.

The Scripps National Spelling Bee is held every year in Washington DC over a two-day period at the end of May or in the beginning of June.
