Narendra Modi expresses displeasure over temple built in his name
New Delhi, Feb 12: A day after it was reported that a temple was dedicated to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the PM expressed his displeasure over the same and said 'building such temples is not what our culture teaches us.'

Modi took to Twitter to voice his displeasure and tweeted-
Modi said that the funds used to build the temple must be used to fulfill the dream of a 'Clean India'.
The temple located in Rajkot will be thrown open to public on Sunday. The temple has a bust of Modi and was built using the donations by his supporters.
It took about two years for Modi's supporters to build the temple. An artist from Odisha was called to construct Modi's idol.
"It is a first of its kind in Gujarat, temple of a living person," said Jayesh Patel, leader of Om Yuva Group.
More than 350 members of the group joined hands to construct it by collecting small donations and now plan to conduct daily worship there, he said.
