New Delhi, Jan 26: The 'bandhgala' suit that Prime Minister Narendra Modi wore during his meeting with US President Barack Obama at the Hyderabad House on Sunday has become a hot topic of discussion on the social media. [Follow updates of Obamas' visit to India]

Why?

The dark blue suit of Modi reveals 'Narendra Damodardas Modi' pinstripes on it instead of simple stripes. One has to zoom in by much to understand the letters printed on the suit. [Modi leads First Lady Michelle 4-3 so far]

Ahmedabad-based Jade Blue designed the jacket, reported the Economic Times.

The Indian prime minister became a star attraction during his visit to the US last September more for his sartorial preferences and the media continues to focus on him even during Obama's reciprocating visit.

Modi, however, is not the first leader to wear such a designer suit. Hosni Mubarak, the ousted president of Egypt, had embedded his name on the fabric in the past as well.

Obama himself was also perhaps floored by Modi's style statement. During the banquet hosted for him at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, Obama said he wanted to wear a 'Modi Kurta', while raising a toast for the India-US ties. [Modi is Barack Obama's style icon]
