. According to the social networking site's top Indian trends of 2013, Apple's iconic iPhone 5s and India's Mars Mission also fell behind Modi in terms of popularity.

Facebook, which reportedly has 1.19 billion monthly active users (MAUs), has 82 million MAUs in India for the quarter ending in June this year, a PTI report said.

According to the statement, conversations on Facebook offer a unique snapshot of India and 2013 was no different. Every day, people post topics and milestones that they think important and they range from announcing an engagement to discussing breaking news or even celebrating a favourite political party's victory or love for cricket, it said.
