Nancy Powell, Narendra Modi not to discuss US visa issue

According to a report in Hindustan Times [read here], Modi and Powell will focus more on bilateral relations. A senior BJP leader told HT that ministry of external affairs has already sent an aide-memoire to Modi's office as well as senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley.
"It was a fornight ago that US embassy sounded us out on Powell's request for meeting. We have agreed for the meeting to take palce in Gandhinagar as Modi is addressing more than 20 election rallies this month," the senior leader said.
Powell was given clearance from South Block fr the meeting on February 7.Tentative dates for the meeting are Feb 14 or 15.
US State Department has revoked Modi's visa in 2005 over the Gujarat riots.
