Delhi Traffic Police, in a post on X, have asked people to avoid JLN Marg, Asaf Ali Road and Bahadurshah Zafar Marg because of event-linked congestion. Commuters are being advised to adjust travel timings, consider alternate routes and rely more on public transport to reduce delays.

Messi is expected at Arun Jaitley Stadium around 3:30 pm, where a welcome ceremony and musical acts are lined up. He will recognise Minerva Academy teams that have secured three youth football trophies, visit a specially created mini pitch for a celebrity friendly match, greet the participants and then host a football clinic for 22 children between 3:55 pm and 4:15 pm.
