Media Sarkar refuses to hand over sting operation tapes to AAP

New Delhi, Nov 22: In response to the sting operation conducted by the Media Sarkar on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Anuranjan Jha on Friday said that the organisation will not hand over the raw footage to the AAP. "Who are they to make such demands, why should we hand over the tapes to them?" said Jha told ANI.

The tapes will be given to the Election Commission and if anybody, any party member wants to view the tapes they can come to our office and view them, he added.

Earlier AAP had claimed that the video footage of the sting operation conducted by Media Sarkar, was doctored and had sought the raw footage of the entire operation.

Jha: Why should we hand over the tapes to the AAP?

AAP leaders addressing media persons on Friday said that the party will consider taking legal action against the website if the raw footage was not handed over to them by 3 pm on Friday.

AAP member Yogendra Yadav said that the party suspected that the tape was modified and doctored. "We request Anuranjan Jha to provide us the raw tape. If we don't get the original tape by 3 pm today, we will consider the sting was a conspiracy to defame our party and not to bring the truth in front of the whole nation," he said.

"We will never tolerate any form of corruption in the party. We will conduct a proper probe into this matter before we take any decision provided we are given the unedited tape first," Yadav said.
