Maya takes on Akhilesh, says UP govt is in deep slumber
Demanding the President's rule in the State, Mayawati stated that the UP government was in deep slumber. She questioned Akhilesh's visit saying, "What purpose did his visit serve?"
Referring to the recent Muzaffarnagar riots, she even alleged that the situation in the state was out of control and said that the state government was hiding facts. They (SP Party) did not control the riots in anyway, she said.
While addressing reporters here she said, the UP government must be questioned about what are they doing to improve the law and order situation in the state. "SP is distracting the people with the riots," she said.
She lauded her party leaders saying that, she had asked her MLAs to grill the government in the Assembly about their efforts to restore law and order in the state.
She then went on to comment about PM's visit to the state saying that it was 'all a political drama.'
