Last day of 15 Lok Sabha
New Delhi, Feb 21: Addressing the last day of the 15 Lok Sabha session, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today said that 'on certain matters Lok Sabha has the capacity to rise above the differences.'

Singh said: "The manner in which Telangana was born is an indication that this country is capable of taking difficult decisions."

He added that Telangana Bill, Food Security Bill were landmark legislations. Speaking about the chaos and the ruckus that the Parliament witnessed in the past few days, Singh said that there are bound to be differences in Parliamentary democracy.

"We are now entering a phase where people of India will have an opportunity to asses the democracy. Hope there will be a new atmosphere where consensus will be there in the next Parliament," he said.

Thanking members, Singh said: "I thank all the members of the House, I thank the Leader of the Opposition, I thank the leader of the House Shinde Ji."

BJP leader Sushma Swaraj also praised the Speaker Meira Kumar for conducting the House with patience. Swaraj said: "We have done justice to both Telangana and Seemandhara, will do further justice when we come to power."
