Kiran Bedi's front row seat at Republic Day parade irks AAP leaders

New Delhi, Jan 26: As Delhiites woke up to a rainy morning on Republic Day it looked like it had rained on the Aam Aadmi Party's parade.

AAP members on Monday cried foul when they saw Delhi BJP's CM candidate Kiran Bedi seated in the front row during the Republic Day parade. What irked the members of AAP was that their party chief Arvind Kejriwal was not even invited for the parade and Bedi was seated in the front row.

AAP questions Bedi's presence at R-Day

AAP member Ashutosh alleged that the BJP was being biased towards Bedi because she is the party's Delhi CM candidate. Ashutosh tweeted:

Meanwhile, AAP member Yogendra Yadav said: "It is for the entire country to see how a sacred occassion is used for political reasons."

Kejriwal had earlier said that he was not invited for the Republic Day parade. "I have not been invited for the parade. I wish to attend the parade," he had said. Last year, Kejriwal had protested and had said that he and his supporters would disrupt the Republic Day celebrations.

Kejriwal was protesting against the behaviour of Delhi Police officials during a raid conducted in Khirki extension carried out by AAP leader Somnath Bharti.
