Kejriwal Got Swati Maliwal Beaten, I Am Worried For You...: Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Mocks Atishi

Delhi CM Rekha Gupta on Monday criticised LoP Atishi and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal during Delhi Assembly session. CM expressed concern for Atishi, referencing an incident involving Swati Maliwal. Gupta stated, "Aam Aadmi Party leaders finally admit their mistake. Aatishi, today, Arvind Kejriwal has trapped you here (in the assembly), and I don't know how he is. I am worried about you, if he can get Swati Maliwal beaten up in her own house, then you are not far behind. I am worried about you."

Gupta also addressed issues within the health department under the previous AAP government. She highlighted problems faced by doctors and patients due to mismanagement of facilities. Allegations included distribution of fake medicines and fraudulent payments made in the name of non-existent patients.

Health Sector Concerns

The Delhi CM accused the former administration of a scam involving cleaning services, medicines, treatment, and admissions. She pointed out a significant shortage of nurses and paramedical staff in Delhi hospitals. Gupta claimed that masks worth Rs.10 were purchased for Rs.150 but remained unused in hospital warehouses.

Gupta announced plans to implement the Clinical Act 2010 in the next session, criticising AAP for not adopting it earlier. She mentioned that the government was still operating under the outdated 1993 Act.

Unfulfilled Promises

The CM alleged that AAP had promised to construct 24 hospitals in Delhi but failed to complete any. She further accused them of thefts occurring in schools, hospitals, liquor shops, and even on social media accounts managed by the Delhi government.

During her speech, AAP MLA Jarnail Singh was removed from the assembly on Speaker Vijender Gupta's orders for causing a disturbance.
