The food stall has been opened at the Tamil Nadu Bhavan as part of Pongal celebrations and will serve South Indian food - idlis at Re one and lemon-rice and sambhar-rice at Rs. 5 - till January 14.
Shortly after its inauguration today, scores of people lined up to taste the food at the budget kitchen.

200 such canteens across Tamil Nadu serve nearly 1,60,000 people a day and have won the Chief Minister many fans.
