Jagan: Congress had engineered the chaos in the House

New Delhi, Feb 17: Last week the Parliament witnessed, what many termed as a 'blot on Indian democracy," where MPs used pepper spray and brandished a knife in full view of other members.

YSR Congress chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Monday said that the chaos and the ruckus in the Parliament was in fact engineered by the Congress party.

"Congress had engineered the chaos in the House. Who is the person who opened the pepper spary in Parliament. It was Lagadapati Rajagopal, the same person who a few days ago happened to be a Congress person," he said.

Jagan along with people from different parts of Andhra Pradesh was in Delhi protesting at Jantar Mantar against the Telangana Bill.

Jagan had last week met senior BJP leader LK Advani seeking his and BJP's support to block the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.

Vijaywada MP Rajgopal had used pepper spray last week in the Parliament when there was an uproar about the Telangana Bill. On asking him about the pepper spray, he said that he had carried the pepper spray with him for his own defense.
