Kejriwal's Statement

"This morning, we got the shocking news that Saif Ali Khan was stabbed by unknown individuals. He is undergoing treatment, and I pray for his recovery. However, it is alarming that such a prominent actor, living in a secure area, can be attacked in his own home. What does this say about the safety of ordinary citizens?"

He went on to demand the resignation of the Maharashtra Chief Minister, accusing the "double-engine government" of failing to provide basic security to the public. Kejriwal also highlighted ongoing issues at the Indo-Bangladesh border, calling for accountability.

Incident Details

Saif Ali Khan was attacked around 2:30 am at his Bandra (West) residence when an intruder broke in and stabbed him multiple times. The actor was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where doctors confirmed he had sustained significant injuries, including:

A major injury to the thoracic spinal cord caused by a lodged knife.

  • Two deep wounds on his left hand.
  • A wound on his neck.

Dr. Nitin Dange of Lilavati Hospital provided an update, "Saif Ali Khan underwent surgery to remove the knife and repair spinal fluid leakage. The plastic surgery team treated other injuries. He is now stable and out of danger."

Investigation Underway

Local police and the Mumbai Crime Branch are investigating the incident, analyzing CCTV footage to identify the assailant.

The attack has sparked widespread concern, with questions being raised about security lapses in high-profile residential areas. Saif Ali Khan's condition remains stable, and he is recovering under medical supervision.
