Father-Son Duo Stabbed to Death in Delhi’s Chittaranjan Park, Financial Dispute Suspected

A man and his son were stabbed to death in a violent incident in Chittaranjan Park on Friday evening, police sources said. The victims, identified as Rakesh Sood and his son Karan Sood, were found critically injured outside their residence and later declared dead at a hospital.

Argument Escalated Into Fatal Attack

Preliminary investigation suggests the incident may have been triggered by a financial dispute. Karan Sood, who assisted his father in a property-related business, had reportedly been involved in an argument earlier in the day.

According to sources, the confrontation turned violent when the accused allegedly attacked Karan with a sharp-edged weapon. Rakesh Sood intervened in an attempt to protect his son but was also stabbed multiple times. Both sustained severe injuries during the assault.

Officials believe the attack may have stemmed from ongoing tensions, and are also probing whether more than one individual was involved.

Probe Underway, CCTV Footage Being Scanned

Police teams and forensic experts have examined the crime scene and collected evidence. CCTV footage from the area is being analysed to identify and track the accused.

Authorities said suspects have been identified and search operations are currently underway to locate and apprehend them.

Separate Incident Raises Fresh Concerns

The case comes weeks after another shocking incident in Delhi, where an 18-year-old allegedly stabbed a 20-year-old man to death in the Shalimar Bagh area.

The accused, identified as Karan Kumar alias Tarun, reportedly attacked the victim following an argument. The victim, Nitesh alias Nikki, was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.

Police said the accused later posted a video on Instagram, claiming responsibility for the crime and indicating he would go into hiding. The video has not been independently verified.

Investigation Continues

Authorities are continuing their investigation into both incidents, with a focus on tracking the accused and establishing the full sequence of events. The back-to-back cases have raised concerns over rising violent crime in parts of the capital.
