Elect BJP, We Will Rename Talkatora Stadium As Maharishi Valmiki Stadium: Parvesh Verma

Hours ahead of the deadline to campaign for the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025, former BJP MP and legislator candidate from the New Delhi constituency, Parvesh Verma tried to woo voters with a final promise. Parvesh Verma said, if BJP comes to power, the saffron party will rename Talkatora stadium after Maharishi Valmiki.

Parvesh Verma's statement was clearly to target the Dalit voters, who worship Maharishi Valmiki the most.

"Today I am announcing that when the NDMC Council meets after February 8, a proposal to rename Talkatora stadium to Bhagwan Maharshi Valmiki will be proposed and passed."

Attacking Arvind Kejriwal, the BJP leader said the AAP chief stopped him from helping women of Delhi. He also said Kejriwal called Valmiki Samaj gangster, and now, it is time to reply him.

"Today, Kejriwal is calling Valmiki Samaj gangster because Valmiki Samaj has boycotted him," he said.

A week ago, Parvesh Verma filed a complaint with the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) alleging the AAP Chief of "corrupt misappropriation of public funds" through "the abuse of official positions to gain wrongful benefits".

Verma's advocate, Vivek Garg, told the media that a huge fraud was committed by Arvind Kejriwal and his ministers worth Rs 48 crore in the name of Delhi Sports University (DSU). "The location former Delhi CM Kejriwal has mentioned does not even have a brick, forget about the University. This is a huge fraud with the students of Delhi" Garg said.

Elections in Delhi will take place on February 5 and counting of votes will take place on February 8, 2025.
