Earthquake hits Sikkim again, tremor felt in Darjeeling
The quake hit the hill-state around 11:45 am. Locals from Gangtok, capital of Sikkim, informed that some buildings had developed cracks. People came out of their houses, offices.
All schools and colleges have been closed for precaution
Meanwhile, media reports also claimed that tremors were also felt in Siliguri, the biggest junction of North Bengal.
A major earthquake had jolted the state two years back. The state had suffered a loss of Rs 1 Lakh crore following the disastrous 6.8 magnitude earthquake which had hit it for the first time on Sept 18, 2011.
