DMRC Announces Weekday Change On Green Line: No Through Trains, Interchange Required At Key Stations
To improve service efficiency and manage rush-hour congestion on weekdays, DMRC has implemented loop-based operations on the Green Line (Line-5) starting June 30, 2025.
Key changes and impact on commuters:
Trains will now run in two dedicated weekday loops:
- Brigadier Hoshiar Singh ↔ Kirti Nagar
- Mundka ↔ Inderlok
There will be no direct trains running between Brigadier Hoshiar Singh and Inderlok or between Kirti Nagar and Mundka from Monday to Friday.

Interchange required at:
- Ashok Park Main for travel between Brigadier Hoshiar Singh and Inderlok, or Mundka and Kirti Nagar.
- Rajdhani Park when traveling from Inderlok to Brigadier Hoshiar Singh.
- Weekend services remain unchanged - full-length direct trains will continue to operate as before on Saturdays and Sundays.
The loop system is expected to improve train frequency, reduce crowding, and streamline maintenance during peak hours.
DMRC implemented the change after commuter feedback and successful trial runs showed reduced waiting times.
Passengers are advised to check updated route maps, announcements, and signage at stations. Planning for additional travel time is recommended when changing trains at Ashok Park Main or Rajdhani Park.
