Thirteen opposition parties, barring the Left and the Aam Aadmi Party, protested at Parliament's Gandhi Statue demanding answers on demonetisation.
CPI leader D Raja said: "Our demand is that PM should come to the Parliament and address the issue. He was the one to announce the demonetisation decision."
Hitting out at the government's demonetisation move, Rahul Gandhi said that this wasn't a decision for the people. Gandhi demanded PM's presence in Parliament to debate the issue. "Why can't he come to the Parliament," Gandhi asked.
"Seventy people have lost their lives. Is this a small matter," Jyotiraditya Scindia of the Congress said.
On Tuesday, TMC Supremo Mamata Banerjee said that she would protest at Jantar Mantar against the demonetisation move implemented by the government.
