The Delhi government started trials for circulator bus routes in Dwarka More and Vasant Vihar, aiming to enhance public transport and connectivity.
The Delhi government has initiated trials for two new circulator bus routes in Dwarka More and Vasant Vihar to enhance public transport.
These circular routes are designed to start at and end at the same points, covering key locations without terminating anywhere, according to a statement on Tuesday evening.

Enhanced Connectivity for Commuters
This new route aims to enhance connectivity within the Dwarka area, making travel more convenient for daily commuters, students, and visitors. The Delhi government highlighted this in their statement. The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to improve public transportation in Delhi.
The 13.35km Vasant Vihar circular route is serviced by eight electric buses operated by DTC. This service connects Vasant Vihar Metro Station and Chhatarpur Metro Station. The operation of these electric buses began on June 7, 2024, covering the route in about 45 minutes.
Commitment to Public Transportation
Transport minister Kailash Gahlot commented on the development: "The trial of new circulator bus routes in Dwarka and Vasant Vihar is a significant step in our ongoing efforts to improve public transportation in Delhi. By addressing the specific needs of residents and ensuring coverage of important areas, we aim to make daily commutes more convenient and efficient. This initiative reflects our commitment to enhancing the quality of life for Delhi's commuters."
This development follows the Delhi government's week-long trial run for the mohalla bus project that started on July 15. The trial included two routes: Akshardham to Mayur Vihar Phase-3 and Majlis Park to Pradhan Enclave in Burari.
In response to these developments, it is clear that the Delhi government is focused on improving connectivity within key areas through innovative public transport solutions. These efforts are expected to significantly benefit daily commuters by providing more efficient travel options.
