In the past 48 hours alone, Delhi has experienced three separate shooting incidents.

Case 1 - 20 Rounds Fired at Car Showroom
The first incident occurred at a second-hand luxury car showroom, Car Street Mini, located in southwest Delhi's Naraina, just a kilometre away from the Naraina police station. Three assailants entered the showroom and fired at least 20 rounds, causing panic among staff and customers.
Police officials confirmed that the shooters have been identified, and a case has been registered against them. The firing resulted in damage to four luxury vehicles, including two BMWs, a Mercedes, and a Mini Cooper. During their escape, the assailants snatched a salesman's phone and discarded it approximately 100 meters away from the showroom. They left behind a slip reading, "Bhau Gang, Since 2020," a reference to wanted gangster Himanshu Bhau, who fled the country in 2022 and is believed to be in Portugal. Bhau has previously claimed responsibility for other violent acts in Delhi, including a murder at a food outlet.
In a similar vein, back in May, another shooting incident linked to the same gang occurred at a car showroom in West Delhi's Tilak Nagar, where ₹5 crore was reportedly demanded from the owners.
Case 2- Firing at Hotel
The second incident took place at the Hotel Impress in Mahipalpur, southwest Delhi, near the Indira Gandhi International Airport. A bike-borne shooter fired 5-6 rounds at the hotel's glass gate, causing significant damage. This shooting was also an extortion attempt, aimed at taking over the hotel.
Interestingly, last year, the hotel owner had received threats from individuals claiming to be associated with Goldie Brar, a Canada-based gangster. Brar is infamously known for his connections to other criminal activities, including a shooting outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan's residence, along with notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently imprisoned in Gujarat.
Case 3 - Firing at Sweet Shop
The third shooting incident occurred in west Delhi's Nangloi, where assailants fired at a local sweet shop. The police have discovered a slip with the name of jailed gangster Deepak Boxer, suggesting organized crime links to this incident as well.
The police are actively investigating these incidents to uncover potential connections and take swift action against the individuals and gangs involved. As these extortion attempts unfold, they raise serious concerns about safety and security in the capital, highlighting the urgent need for effective law enforcement measures to combat organized crime.
