Cocktail 2 Crosses ₹76 Crore Worldwide In Just Three Days: Enjoys Dream Opening Weekend

Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna's romantic entertainer Cocktail 2 has delivered an impressive opening weekend at the global box office collection.

The film's theatrical run kicked off on a high note. In just a span of three days, the film has witnessed a steady growth.

As per the records, Cocktail 2 has earned ₹76.25 crore worldwide gross by the end of its debut weekend. ₹57 crore of this amount came from the domestic market and international territories contributed ₹19.25 crore. Currently, the net collection of the film stands at ₹47.50 crore.

Strong Weekend Growth Boosts Collections

The film showed an encouraging moment on the day of its opening by ₹13.50 crore net collection and ₹16.20 crore gross collection.

Business picked up significantly on Saturday, with the film collecting ₹16.25 crore nett and ₹19.50 crore gross. Sunday proved to be the biggest day for the film as it earned ₹17.50 crore nett and ₹21.20 crore gross. By the end of Day 3, Cocktail 2 established itself as a crowd puller and interestingly amassed ₹57 crore gross in India and ₹76.25 crore globally.

The Homi Adajania directorial was screened across 31,542 shows during its opening weekend. On Sunday alone, it recorded an occupancy of 29 per cent across 10,462 shows. The National Capital Region led the charts with 1,170 screenings, followed by Mumbai with 711 shows and Ahmedabad with 582.

Cocktail 2 Faces Competition With Imtiaz's Main Vaapas Aaunga

Cocktail 2 managed to maintain its momentum regardless of facing competition from Imtiaz Ali's Main Vaapas Aaunga. The Diljit Dosanjh, Sharvari and Vedang Raina starrer collected ₹5.75 crore on its second Sunday, taking its India net total to ₹24.25 crore. The film's domestic gross earnings stand at ₹40.75 crore, while its worldwide collection has reached ₹11.7 crore.

The story follows Kunal (Shahid Kapoor) and Diya (Rashmika Mandanna), childhood sweethearts who share a deep connection but are confused about taking the plunge into marriage. Their relationship is put to the test when they travel to Sicily and reunite with Ally (Kriti Sanon), Diya's close friend.

The film suddenly shifts its focus from a carefree getaway into a journey of emotional conflicts and unexpected revelations. As old insecurities resurface, Diya finds herself questioning Kunal's intentions and if their future together is built on genuine love.
