Delhi Weather Report: IMD Issues Red Alert For Heatwaves In Capital, Check Temperature For Coming Days
Delhi Weather Report: In view to the scorching heat, continuously rising temperature, and heatwaves, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a severe warning by flagging a red alert. The weather monitoring department had earlier announced an orange alert in Delhi, which has now been scaled to a Red alert.
In its latest weather bulletin, IMD warned people of a "very high likelihood of developing heat illness and heat stroke in all ages" if they did not take precautions.

According to IMD, Delhi is likely to witness a temperature near 45 degrees, which is six degrees more than the normal temperature in June. However, the day's minimum temperature is expected to be around 33 degrees. Notably, nights will also be warmer in the coming week, said he weather department.
Officials have advised people to avoid going out between 12 noon and 4 pm and stay hydrated, especially during the daytime.
It is expected that temperature will come down a little after June 19 as slight rain accompanied by thunderstorms and duststorms are predicted.
