Delhi Water Crisis: Delhi Jal Board Shares List Of Areas To Face Water Supply Disruption

Delhi Water Crisis: Water supply in several parts of Delhi will be disrupted on Thursday for 12 hours due to the shutdown of a sluice valve near Radisson Blu Hotel, the Delhi Jal Board said in a statement.

According to the statement, residents will face a water supply disruption on Thursday due to the shutdown of a 600mm diameter sluice valve near the Radisson Blu Hotel. The DJB urged residents in these areas to store a sufficient quantity of water.

Here is the list of areas likely to be affected due to the water disruption from 9 am to 9 pm:

• GH-1 Archana Apartment
• Shubham Enclave
• RBI Colony near Double Twin Water Tank
• G Block Pushkar Enclave
• State Bank Nagar Outer Ring Road
• Meera Bagh B Block
• GH-4 DDA Flats
• Meera Bagh JJC Paschim Vihar
• GH-5&7 to GH-14
• Sundar Vihar
• Ambica Vihar
• Bhera Enclave
• Peeragarhi
• Jwalapuri
• Miyanwali Nagar
• Guru Harkishan Nagar
• Syed Nangloi Village

Areas adjoining to the above-mentioned places may also face water crisis due to scheduled repair work.

Delhi Water Supply Advisory

The Delhi Jal Board has requested residents of the above-mentioned areas to store a sufficient quantity of water in advance to deal with the 12-hour water disruption. The information was given through DJB's daily bulletin on the micro-blogging site Twitter and their official website.

The DJB has been highlighting the importance of storing water, saving, and recycling water through various campaigns.

The authority which is currently under Delhi Minister Atishi has also apologised in advance for the likely inconvenience during the water supply cut and advised residents to contact the DJB through its helpline numbers.
