Delhi Traffic Advisory Today: Check Routes To Avoid For INDIA Bloc Maharally At Ramlila Maidan On March 31

Following the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal by the Enforcement Directorate, prominent members of the INDIA bloc are set to participate in the Opposition's 'Loktantra Bachao' rally at Delhi's historic Ramlila Maidan on Sunday.

This includes figures such as Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi.

The mega rally is perceived as a demonstration of unity and strength by the Opposition, particularly in light of Kejriwal's arrest on March 21 in connection with a money-laundering case linked to excise policy, serving as an opportunity to bolster the alliance's image.

In addition to Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, the event will feature participation from prominent figures such as Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav, Bihar's former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, Farooq Abdullah, among others.

Sources suggest Sonia Gandhi's likely attendance, and Arvind Kejriwal's wife, Sunita Kejriwal, is expected to be present as well.

Delhi Traffic Advisory For Today

In anticipation of the political rally by the INDIA bloc at Ramlila Maidan on Sunday, March 31, the Delhi Traffic Police have issued an advisory detailing diversions and restrictions in place from 9 am to 3 pm.

Key points from the traffic advisory include:

• Avoidance of specific roads from 8 am to 4 pm, including Ranjeet Singh Flyover, Vivekanand Marg, JLN Marg, R/A Kamla Market to Guru Nanak Chowk, and Chaman Lal Marg near VIP Gate.
• Potential traffic diversions on Rajghat Chowk, Minto Road, DDU Marg, Mirdard Chowk, Paharganj Chowk, A-Point, Delhi Gate, and surrounding roads from 8 am onwards.
• Parking arrangements, including an organizer alighting point at Ramlila Ground Entry, and designated parking areas for buses/cars at various locations such as Raj Ghat Power House Road, Shantivan Service Road, Velodrome Road, and Salimgarh Bypass.

Commuters are advised to avoid the specified routes and plan their journeys accordingly, especially those heading towards ISBT, Railway Station, or Airport, allowing for ample travel time.
