Delhi Tightens Security for AAP Protests

Information regarding the protest by workers and leaders of AAP has prompted authorities to enhance security measures in the national capital to ensure the law and order situation is maintained. Deployment of paramilitary forces, along with Delhi Police personnel, has been ensured, as quoted by a police officer to PTI.

Senior officers will continue to monitor the entire situation in their districts, with directions issued to the Station House Officers (SHOs) to maintain strict vigilance in their areas and to promptly inform their senior officers about any protest, stated the police officer.

The decision to conduct protests in the national capital against the arrest of party supremo and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, currently in ED custody until March 28, was made by Aam Aadmi Party leaders. Plans include organizing a candlelight march and effigy-burning event throughout Delhi on Sunday, as reported by PTI.

Delhi Minister Gopal Rai announced that all party MLAs and office-bearers will gather at Shaheedi Park to protest against the BJP, urging countrymen to protest outside BJP offices across the country against what he termed as "dictatorship". He also stated plans to gather at the AAP office in Delhi on Friday morning before protesting outside the BJP headquarters.

AAP's Rajya Sabha MP Sandeep Pathak emphasized that the fight was no longer between the BJP and the AAP, but rather between the country's people and the BJP, as well as those advocating for clean politics in the country.
