Delhi Schools' Bomb Threats Masterminded By Their Own Students, Reveals Probe: 'Hoped To Delay Exams'
Delhi School Bomb Threats: Bomb threat emails sent to at least three schools in Delhi were reportedly from their own students, according to the Delhi Police on Sunday.
Following an initial investigation by the Delhi Police Special Cell, a police official informed news agency PTI that the threats were made by two siblings attending the same school who wanted their exams postponed.

During counselling sessions, the students admitted to being inspired by previous bomb threat incidents at schools, the officer added. They were subsequently released after their parents were issued a warning.
Officials also revealed that two additional schools in Rohini and Paschim Vihar received similar threatening emails, sent by students from the same school.
"It was found that the emails were sent by two different students of the same school, who hoped to delay the exams because they were unprepared," said the Delhi Police. "Since they were students, they were counselled and let off," the police further stated.
This follows a recent wave of bomb threats disrupting school activities.
On Tuesday, a threatening email was sent to schools demanding $100,000, along with a warning that bombs would explode "within 72 hours".
The previous Monday, around 20 schools, including DPS RK Puram, received similar threats. The series of incidents began on December 9 when 44 schools received bomb threats, followed by threats to 30 schools on December 13 and eight on December 14, where the sender specifically mentioned "bomb vests".
Since May, over 50 bomb threat emails have targeted not only schools but also hospitals, airports, and airlines in Delhi.
