Delhi Polls 2025: AAP Revises Candidates For Narela and Hari Nagar, Full List Inside

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday released an updated list of candidates for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections 2025. The revised list includes changes for two constituencies. In Narela, the party has decided to retain Sharad Chauhan, replacing Dinesh Bharadwaj, who was initially named in the earlier list.

The revised list also introduces Surindra Setia as the new candidate for the Hari Nagar constituency, replacing Raj Kumari Dhillon, who was previously fielded from the seat.

These changes come a month after AAP announced its initial slate of candidates for all 70 seats in the assembly. The party had released four lists in total. The fourth list, released on December 15, named 38 candidates, while the third list included just one, and the first two lists contained 20 and 11 names, respectively. Raj Kumari Dhillon's candidacy for Hari Nagar and Dinesh Bharadwaj's for Narela were both announced in the fourth and first lists, respectively.

The Delhi Assembly elections are scheduled for February 5, with all 70 seats set to be contested in a single phase. The results will be declared on February 8.

The election will see a close contest between AAP, BJP, and Congress, with the primary rivalry between AAP and BJP. AAP has been in power in Delhi since 2013, except for a brief period under Lt. Governor rule. In recent elections, BJP won only three seats in 2015 and eight seats in 2020, while Congress has failed to secure any seats in both polls.
