Ahead of the discussion on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill in the Lok Sabha, the Delhi Police have heightened security measures across various critical areas to avert any disturbances that could potentially be caused by dissenting groups. A senior police officer, preferring to stay unnamed, mentioned, "To maintain law and order at multiple sensitive areas, we have intensified night patrolling and additional deployment will be arranged."
