Delhi-NCR Weather Forecast: IMD Issues Orange Alert For Delhi-NCR Today; Check Weather For June 29

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts moderate to heavy rainfall or thunderstorms in Delhi today. Additionally, the weather may include gusty winds ranging from 30 to 40 kilometres per hour.

The national capital is currently under an orange alert for today and tomorrow.

Delhi and other parts of North India were enduring a severe heatwave, with the capital recording nine heatwave days in June so far. This was a stark contrast to June of the previous two years, 2023 and 2022, which saw no heatwave days.

However, the city's weather has recently undergone a significant change due to the effect of a western disturbance. This meteorological phenomenon has resulted in a drop in the maximum temperature, bringing some respite from the scorching heat.

The minimum temperature is expected to settle at 25 degrees Celsius, with the maximum temperature hovering around 31 degrees Celsius.

July 4: The minimum temperature will be 26 degrees Celsius, with a maximum of 32 degrees Celsius. The forecast includes a cloudy sky with light to moderate rain or thunderstorms.
