Delhi Jal Board Announces No Water Supply In Parts Of Delhi On December 12 - Check List Of Affected Areas
Due to scheduled maintenance work by the Delhi Jal Board (DJB), several localities in South Delhi will find their taps running dry on the morning of December 12. The DJB has made an official announcement urging residents of these areas conserve water. The maintenance involves the integration of a new water line by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), which necessitates the temporary disruption of water supply.
The specific task causing the water cut involves the DMRC making interconnections between a newly laid water line and the existing main water supply line near two critical junctions in the city. The DJB explained, "Due to making inter connection by DMRC of newly laid 900 mm/600 mm dia MS water line near Vayusenabad Gate -3 and Madangri T-point on MB road with existing 1200/ 900/600 mm dia Sangam Vihar main emanating from ESI UGR/BPS. Water supply shall be affected on 12/12/2024 (morning)." This crucial maintenance is poised to impact the water distribution in several parts of South Delhi significantly.
