Delhi: Heroin worth Rs 332 crore seized, 10 arrested

New Delhi, Mar 15: A Special Cell of the Delhi Police on Friday recovered 83 kg of heroin worth Rs 332 crore in the international market. The cops also arrested 10 people in connection with seizing of the contraband substance, said reports.

On Wednesday (March 13), BJP Rajya Sabha MP Sampatiya Uike's son, Satendra, was among the three persons arrested with contraband substance Heroin. Uike is a Rajya Sabha MP from Mandla in Madhya Pradesh. 3.380 grams of Heroin was seized from them.

Earlier on Wednesday (March 13), police seized huge quantity of heroin and arrested a woman from Nagaon district in Assam. Earlier this month, the Punjab police's Special Task Force (STF) has reportedly seized 97 grams of contraband substance heroin worth Rs 50 lakh.

In January this year, Delhi Police's Special Cell seized 20 kilograms of contraband substance Heroin and arrested six people in connection with it. The value of of the seized narcotic was said to be around Rs 80 crore. In the same month, the Delhi Police's crime branch busted a drug trafficking syndicate that imported drugs online via dark web from the US and other countries, to distribute them in the city.
