Delhi Election 2025: Will Sandeep Dikshit Be Congress’ CM Face? Robert Vadra’s Remarks Spark Speculation
Businessman and Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi's husband, Robert Vadra, expressed his support for Sandeep Dikshit on Wednesday, stating, "Sandeep Dikshit would be instrumental in transforming Delhi into a better and safer place." His comments came on the same day as the voting for the Delhi Elections 2025.
Vadra praised Sandeep Dikshit, adding, "Like Sheila Dikshit ji, Sandeep has learned so much from his mother. He will undoubtedly contribute to making Delhi a better city."

Vadra also said the importance of voting on this crucial day, urging Delhi's residents to make their voices heard,"This is such an important day for the people of Delhi to use their right to vote. If you want change, this is the time to make it happen."
Vadra also remarked, "Like Sheila Dikshit ji, we all witnessed that her government was not about optics, but actual change. I've met many people who voiced concerns about inflation, poor infrastructure, and transportation. Arvind Kejriwal has failed to deliver on his promises. This time, the results will not be in his favor."
Who is Sandeep Dikshit?
Sandeep Dikshit, Congress' candidate for the New Delhi assembly seat, will face off against former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal.
Sandeep is the son of the late Sheila Dikshit, Delhi's three-time Chief Minister. Born in Lucknow in 1964, he holds a Master's degree and a Post-graduate diploma in Rural Development, having studied at St. Stephen's College, University of Delhi, and the Institute of Rural Management in Anand, Gujarat.
Sandeep Dikshit served as a Member of Parliament, representing Delhi in the 14th and 15th Lok Sabhas.
As Delhi's ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) seeks a third consecutive term, both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress are determined to reclaim power. Polling for 70 assembly seats commenced on Wednesday morning, with voters casting their ballots for the 8th Delhi Assembly amid tight security. Voting began at 7:00 am and will conclude at 6:00 pm on Wednesday.
