Delhi Election 2025: Know Delhi Metro, DTC Busses Operational Timings On Polling Day

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced an early start for metro services on February 5, polling day in Delhi. To assist voters and election personnel, all metro lines will begin operations at 4:00 AM. Trains will run every 30 minutes until 6:00 AM, after which the usual timetable will be followed.

Similarly, the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) is enhancing its bus services to support the electoral process. From 4:00 AM, additional buses will be available on 35 routes. This initiative aims to provide voters with sufficient transportation options to reach polling stations efficiently.

Enhanced Public Transport for Election Day

The DMRC's decision to start metro services earlier than usual is part of a broader effort to ensure smooth transportation on election day. By running trains at a 30-minute interval during the early hours, they aim to accommodate both voters and election staff who need to travel early.

Voting for Delhi Assembly 70 seats will take place in a single phase on February 5 and counting of votes will take place on February 8, 2025.
