Delhi: Drunk E-Rickshaw Driver Kills A Minor In Ashok Vihar Area, Another Injured

A tragic accident occurred in Delhi's Ashok Vihar, resulting in the death of a 10-year-old girl and injuries to another child. The incident involved an e-rickshaw driven by Vinod Kumar, who was reportedly intoxicated at the time. Police have confirmed his arrest following the accident.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northwest) Bhisham Singh stated that the unfortunate event took place on Friday evening. The two young girls were playing near their residence when they were struck by the e-rickshaw. They were quickly transported to a hospital, where one was pronounced dead.

Driver's Intoxication Confirmed

The police received a PCR call about the accident around 5 pm. Medical reports later verified that Kumar, a resident of Ashok Vihar Phase-2, was under the influence of alcohol during the incident. This confirmation has added to the gravity of the charges against him.
