Driver's Intoxication Confirmed
The police received a PCR call about the accident around 5 pm. Medical reports later verified that Kumar, a resident of Ashok Vihar Phase-2, was under the influence of alcohol during the incident. This confirmation has added to the gravity of the charges against him.
The community is in shock over this devastating event, highlighting concerns about road safety and responsible driving. Authorities are urging drivers to exercise caution and avoid driving under any influence to prevent such tragedies.
This incident serves as a grim reminder of the potential consequences of reckless behaviour on roads. It underscores the importance of adhering to traffic regulations and ensuring public safety at all times.
As investigations continue, residents are calling for stricter enforcement of laws related to drunk driving. The hope is that such measures will deter future incidents and protect vulnerable pedestrians, especially children.
