Delhi CM Atishi Booked After Her Supporter Slaps A Police Officer
The Delhi Assembly Election 2025, a litmus test for ruling Aam Aadmi Party, seems to be a hard task now. The margins between AAP and BJP are shrinking day by day and many leaders of Arvind Kejriwal's party are switching sides. Not just this, AAP is also fighting against 'machinery of BJP and PM Modi', as claimed by former CM himself several times in past.
On Tuesday, Delhi police booked Chief Minister Atishi after one of her supporters allegedly slapped a police man.

According to the police, CM Atishi allegedly violated the Model Code of Conduct, which was implemented on Monday evening, as she arrived at Fateh Singh Marg with more than 10 vehicles and around over 60 supporters. It was learned that when police asked her to leave and stop campaigning, she refused, and one of her supporter manhandled on duty police officer.
After the incident, policeman reported to higher authorities and an FIR against CM Atishi and some AAP workers has been filed.
Responding to the action, Chief Minister Atishi, who is also a candidate from Kalka ji constituency, in a post on micro-blogging site X (formerly Twitter) said, "Letter given to @DelhiPolice about late last night, when they illegally took in custody two youth who were reporting and making a video of MCC violations. No action was taken against those making the violation. Hope that @ECISVEEP intends to have free and fair elections in Delhi."
