DDA Housing scheme 2014: Hurry!!! Only 2 days left to apply for flats
In its mega-housing scheme, Delhi Development Authority (DDA) had launched an offer of total 25,034 flats on September 1 and till now it has reportedly sold over 16 lakh forms.
The DDA said that 60 percent form submissions have been made online.
During the Shraadh period of 15 days, the sales of the application forms had gone down, but after Navratris began, the sales picked up, as the nine-day festival is considered as auspicious, to start new things.
The sales are expected to go high in the last 4-5 days as people, who are still left to fill the forms, will make a beeline rush at the counters at the authority's headquarters.
DDA to extend October 9 deadline?
Taking into consideration, the festive season, DDA may extend the October 9 deadline to fill the application forms, depending on the last three days rush.
The DDA is expected to announce the draw of lots by the end of the October and the possession of the flats will be given by March 2015.
For the time, DDA has introduced "trangender" category in the application forms.
In an another first, DDA has allowed its applicants to "see the type of flats on offer".
Last week, DDA had posted an online video guide on filling up of forms for its new housing scheme and precautions to be taken for it.
