CRCS Sahara Refund Portal: Online Login Link To Claim Refund, Who Is Eligible; Details Inside

In a major relief to depositors, the central government has launched the CRCS-Sahara Refund Portal to assist investors of Sahara Group cooperative societies in recovering their money.

With this, the process of returning the amount of Rs 5,000 crore to the investors began on Tuesday in a transparent manner on a trial basis.

Only eligible depositors of four Sahara group societies can apply for a refund on the CRCS Sahara Refund Portal.

How long will it take to get a refund?

The government has assured that the money will be deposited into the bank account of the claimants within 45 days.

Sahara Refund: How many will benefit?

In the initial stage, the Sahara refund scheme will benefit about one crore depositors. In total, approximately 1.78 crore small investors, whose money up to Rs 30,000 is stuck, will get their money back.

How to claim refund on multiple deposit accounts in Sahara Group?

Depositor needs to fill out a single Claim Application Form for all of them. Additionally, Depositors must scan and upload the original certificate of deposit (CD) or passbook individually for each account, according to the government.

• Go to the CRCS Sahara Refund Portal (https://mocrefund.crcs.gov.in)
• On the homepage, click on 'Depositor Registration.'
• Provide the last 4 digits of your Aadhaar Card, and mobile number linked with Aadhaar, on the Registration Page.
• Now, click on 'Get OTP' and enter the OTP received on your mobile number.
• After the verification of OTP, your registration process will be successful.
