Congress MLA touches Kiran Bedi's feet at oath-taking ceremony; she reciprocates

New Delhi, May 31: The oath-taking ceremony of Kiran Bedi as the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry saw an interesting turn of events when a woman Congress MLA touched her feet to seek blessings and the former also reciprocated.

Bedi, a former top cop, took charge as the lieutenant governor of the Union Territory on Sunday (May 29). It was during the moment when various dignitaries and political leaders were congratulating her when the MLA suddenly fell to Bedi's feet.

Puducherry's newly elected chief V Narayanasamy was also present at the event.
