Congress asks EC to stop ad featuring Hema Malini
New Delhi, Apr 1: Congress on Tuesday complained to the Election Commission over the continued telecast of a commercial advertisement featuring actor Hema Malini despite her being the BJP candidate from Mathura.
The advertisement by Hema Malini for a water filter company is being telecast on various TV channels all over the country, including UP, K C Mittal, Secretary of AICC Legal Department told the EC.
"This is in violation of Model code of conduct and may kindly be stopped," he said.
