Congress, AAP, BJP's First Reactions To Delhi Elections 2025 Exit Poll Results

Out of ten exit polls conducted for the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025, seven have predicted a decisive victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), indicating a possible change in governance.

Pollsters Predicting Victory For BJP

The pollsters forecasting a BJP win include Chanajya Strategies, DV Research, JVC, P-Marq, People's Insight, Peoples Pulse, and Poll Diary, all of which indicate a clear majority for the party.

Pollsters Predicting AAP Victory

On the other hand, two pollsters-Mind Brink and WeePreside-have predicted that the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will retain power in Delhi. Notably, no exit poll has projected a win for the Congress, with most surveys estimating the grand old party's tally to be between 0-2 seats.

Congress' First Reaction To Exit Polls

Reacting to the exit poll predictions, Congress MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla dismissed the forecasts, stating, "Those who said Congress does not exist on the ground will see Congress win a good number of seats. AAP will not come back. No party will get a clear majority. All three parties will get an equal number of seats."

AAP's First Reaction To Exit Polls

AAP leaders also downplayed the exit polls, with party leader Sushil Gupta remarking, "This is our fourth election, and every time exit polls did not show AAP making the government in Delhi. Arvind Kejriwal has worked for the people of Delhi. We will see the results in favor of Aam Aadmi Party, and we will form the government."

AAP leader Anurag Dhanda echoed a similar sentiment, stating, "I don't think all the surveys are against us. If you look at it historically, AAP doesn't come to power in surveys but forms government eventually. We are encouraged by the voting percentage, which is close to 67% of 2015."

BJP's First Reaction To Exit Polls

Meanwhile, the Delhi BJP has welcomed the exit poll results, with party president Virendra Sachdeva saying, "I want to congratulate the people of Delhi. They have given so much love and blessings to the BJP today. 'AAP-da' is leaving, and BJP is coming. People of Delhi want a corruption-free government and development."

BJP MP Manoj Tiwari exuded confidence in his party's prospects, stating, "The exit polls I saw right now, I feel like our actual results will be even better than the exit polls. The reaction we saw among people indicates that BJP is coming to power in Delhi. It is BJP's homecoming. I thank the people of Delhi."

The counting of votes will be held on February 8.
