Congress, AAP against VK Malhotra, demand an apology from him

Both AAP and Congress condemned Malhotra's comments and said that BJP was targeting minorities and demanded a registration of a criminal case against him.
Malhotra on Tuesday said that 'Jamia Nagar and Batla House had become safe houses for terrorists.'
Delhi Congress chief Arvinder Singh Lovely said that this comment made by Malhotra was aimed at creating social unrest and that a criminal case should be filed against him.
Lovely went on to add that this was an agenda to divide the voters based on religion ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
The Delhi Congress also said Malhotra must apologise to the Muslim population here and that they would carry out protests against the BJP.
AAP also said that it had written to the Chief Election Commissioner seeking an action against Malhotra.
