Centre won't intervene in IAS officer's death issue: Kiren Rijiju
New Delhi, March 17: Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju on Tuesday said the death of IAS officer DK Ravi in Bengaluru is a serious matter but added that the Centre will not intervene into the matter at this point of time. [DK Ravi was asked to slow down]
Rijiju said it is difficult for the central government to intervene in the functioning of the state government for the case is directly related to them.

The BJP on Tuesday raised the issue in the Parliament and the central government also asked the Karnataka government to act tough on the issue.
Preliminary probe said that DK Ravi had committed suicide at his official residence in Koramangla area of Bengaluru. His wife had first seen him hanging from the the ceiling fan.
Protests and shutdown took place across Karnataka over the death of Ravi, who was known to be a popular bureaucrat.
